A major life change can leave you questioning things you once felt sure about.
What once gave you a sense of stability or direction no longer seems as certain, and you are trying to understand what this shift means for you.
A career change, the end of a relationship, the loss of someone important, growing family responsibilities, or the changes that come with getting older can affect far more than your day-to-day routine.
Even when the transition was expected or chosen, adjusting to it can alter how you see yourself, what you want, and what matters to you now.
Whether you are struggling to adjust, wondering why this has affected you so deeply, or finding your footing again, you are not alone.
A transition can change how you see yourself, your relationships, and what you want from your life.
As you try to adjust, you start to feel more anxious. Concentrating becomes harder, things you would normally manage begin to feel overwhelming, and you start second-guessing yourself.
The stress can disrupt your sleep, affect your appetite, or leave you pulling away from the people closest to you.
You can also feel pressure to move on, stay positive, or appreciate what you have before you have had time to process what has changed.
If you have spent years being responsible, capable, and dependable, you know how to keep things going.
What becomes harder is admitting that you are struggling when you are used to being the person others rely on.
In therapy, I will give you space to slow down and understand what this transition is bringing up beyond the practical changes you are dealing with.
Together, we will make sense of what you are experiencing, look at what has changed for you, and identify what you need now.
You will not have to carry the uncertainty or work through every part of this on your own. I will support you as you adjust to what has changed and begin making decisions about what comes next.
Over time, you can feel more grounded in who you are now and more confident about the direction you want to take.
If you’re finding it difficult to move through this period, I’d welcome the opportunity to connect with you.
